Yelp: A Custom Branding Inside Look

It’s not everyday you get invited to Yelp’s headquarters. I should know, because it didn’t happen to me, but the other day my good friend got invited, and I, subsequently, got to tag along. You know, Batman and Robin style. For the record, I’m very good at being Robin. Anyway, we traveled to the 140 New Montgomery building in San Francisco, and what we saw was glorious.

For those that don’t know, Yelp is a multinational company that has made its name in the industry publishing crowd-sourced reviews about local businesses and hotspots. Yelp was founded in 2004 and currently boasts 135 million monthly visitors, 95 million reviews, and brings in approximately $550 million in annual revenue. Yelp’s properties include Yelp.com, the Yelp mobile app, as well as SeatMe, an online reservation service, and Eat24, an online food-delivery service.

Now, back to the story. So, we’re in the building, fresh off the elevator and we are greeted by the most spectacular lobby. The place was literally a swag lovers dream. The walls were covered in any and every thing needed for Yelp marketing, recruitment and events. You can check out some of my favorite findings below.

And that was just the lobby. I, however, didn’t make it past the lobby. Remember, I was just tagging along. One day, in the sometime distant or near future, I will get my own personal invitation. What’s held beyond those foyer doors, one can only dream, but for today, my Yelp experience was amazing.
